A new service selling bloggers' posts to newspapers and magazines is being launched by citizen photoreporting agency, Scoopt.
I think this could be huge. In the same vein as PayLoadz offering anyone the ability to sell their "digital goods" (software, eBooks, music, podcasts, movies, digital art, manuals, articles, certificates, forms, files, etc.), ScooptWords offers independent content producers to monetize their efforts.
I've already signed up for a Scoopt account (slated to go live on Monday) and contacted Newsvine about allowing me to use my column as a "blog" in the ScooptWords service. If all goes as planned, I wonder if Newsvine and ScooptWords could collaborate and offer a second option of income for user columns? As this develops, I'll be sure to include updates.
EDIT: Newsvine's stance on the ScooptWords service can be seen in the comments section below.
