A chip start-up that created a high performance, low power processor compatible with existing Mac software had been working closely with Apple for many months. Why then, did Apple pick Intel instead?
I can see why Apple chose Intel. Proven track record of reliability, already a internationally-recognized brand, ability to ship according to Apple's schedule, etc, etc. However, I'm a huge advocate of actions speaking louder than words. What if Apple had gone with a lesser-known company that produced better results? If the MacBook's performance was better b/c of the processors, then Apple would surely be reaping benefits much larger than they have/will using an Intel processor.
